Job Summary
Shipper I is a hands-on warehouse role focused on safe, accurate movement of materials and finished goods. Responsibilities include operating forklifts and material-handling equipment, picking, staging, and packaging work orders, receiving and put-away of materials, loading/unloading trucks, staging sales orders for outbound shipment, conducting cycle counts to assist inventory accuracy, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, following company policies and safety guidelines, and communicating issues to the Shipping Lead. Required skills include basic warehouse and material-handling knowledge, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, strong attention to detail and safety, with proficiency in math and basic computer use. Education-level preference is a high school diploma or equivalent with forklift certification or ability to obtain certification; prior warehouse experience and FEFO/Inventory Control experience are also preferred. The position is located in Pompano, Florida with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule and a pay rate around $20.00 per hour, plus a bonus/incentive plan and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- Prior warehouse experience preferred
- Experience with FEFO and Inventory Control preferred
- Good math skills and proficient computer knowledge (MS Word and Excel)
- Experience with MRP Systems
