Job Summary
Shipper B on Day shift loads and stages products for shipping with a focus on accuracy and safety. Responsibilities include identifying material by part number and quantity, gathering customer orders, staging by stop schedule, updating consolidation cards, and using the IFS system to process finished goods. Operates a straddle truck, forklift, and overhead crane to move products from inventory to the shipping bay for consolidation, performs general housekeeping, and communicates with the next shipper B to ensure proper loading. Requires English literacy and basic math, 6 months of heavy equipment experience, and familiarity with material handling within a manufacturing setting. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM, with potential additional hours outside the standard shift and offers a starting hourly pay of $20.34 plus a $1.00 shift differential; eligible for step pay increases at 90 days, 1 year, and 2 years. Required Qualifications
- Ability to read & write in English
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, decimals, fractions)
- 6 months previous experience operating heavy equipment in a professional environment
- Proficiency in operating a straddle truck and shag truck
- Knowledge of computer systems (IFS, MS Office)
- Ability to perform duties with safety and accuracy
- Willingness to perform general housekeeping and physical tasks as described
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year experience in a manufacturing setting
- 1 year experience operating heavy equipment
- 1 year experience operating an overhead crane
- Experience using IFS system
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel) is a plus
- Commitment to safety and housekeeping
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to lift 35-50 lbs regularly
- Comfort working in outdoor environments
