Job Summary
Shipper & Receiver role at Magellan Aerospace (New York): responsible for receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments; loading/unloading with forklifts or pallet jacks; documenting shipments (bills of lading, packing slips, inventory records); ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations; maintaining accurate shipment records in the inventory system; coordinating with internal departments for timely delivery; packaging and preparing shipments; operating company vehicles for material transport between facilities if required. Requires at least 1 year shipping/receiving experience in manufacturing/warehouse, and a valid CDL license; forklift certification is a plus. Salary range: $25.00-$30.00 per hour (annualized to $52,000-$62,400).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing or warehouse setting
- Valid CDL License
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and shipping software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures
