Shiny App Developer

Job Summary
Evaluate data needs for assigned projects and recommend strategic approaches specific to study design. Work alongside operational and medical leads to contribute innovative data products, primarily Shiny applications, while interacting with relational data at both study- and enterprise-level for query, wrangling, analysis, and reporting. Support departmental process improvement initiatives and collaborate with Clinical Trial Managers to develop and validate data products that increase operational efficiency. This role is part of Medpace's new Clinical Informatics team, supporting Phase I-IV clinical development services across oncology, cardiology, and other therapeutic areas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in informatics, computer science/engineering, biomedical engineering, health information, statistics, or related field
- Analytical thinker with great attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects on a sprint schedule
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Programming experience in R or Python
- Work experience with clinical data
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building Shiny web applications is preferred
- Experience building dashboards is preferred (with either PowerBI, Tableau, or Spotfire)
