Shift Technician

Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines; carry equipment; identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves and utility shut-offs; maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts. Communicate daily activities to other shifts using approved programs and standards. Demonstrate knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building maintenance. Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and filter replacement, and thorough cleanup of repair areas. Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items; update program TV’s and assist with housekeeping and engineering inventory. Use Lockout/Tagout before maintenance work; perform interior/exterior landscaping repairs and sprinkler work. Display basic computer skills for inputting air handler schedules and adjusting temperatures. Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report hazards or injuries; complete safety training; protect assets; maintain professional appearance. Welcome and acknowledge guests, assist individuals with disabilities, anticipate service needs, and show appreciation. Maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, communicate clearly, and perform tasks with appropriate physical effort and mobility. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
