Shift Supervisor

Job Summary

Act as the on-duty leader responsible for shop operations during assigned shifts, ensuring consistent execution of brand standards, recipes, and operating procedures. Assign tasks, manage workflow, and provide direction to team members while monitoring production, service flow, and staffing levels. Serve as the designated Person in Charge for food safety, overseeing compliance with sanitation regulations, food temperatures, and proper handling practices. Address operational issues, resolve guest concerns, and enforce service standards to maintain a welcoming experience. Ensure shop cleanliness and organization throughout the production and guest areas, including restocking, sanitizing surfaces, and removing trash. Follow cash handling procedures, register oversight, and loss prevention protocols to protect company assets. Train and coach team members on job duties, safety, and operational standards while modeling positive leadership behaviors. Work flexible schedules including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous food service, retail, or hospitality experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to lead and direct team members during a shift
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to maintain awareness of shop operations and priorities
  • Ability to make timely decisions and address issues during the shift
  • Ability to follow and enforce food safety and operational procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Ability to manage normal workplace stress
  • Standing and walking for extended periods during the shift
  • Lifting and carrying ranges: 0–10 lbs: Frequent; 11–25 lbs: Occasional to Frequent; 26–50 lbs: Occasional with assistance; 51–75 lbs: Seldom; team-lift only
  • Pushing and pulling approximately 10–40 lbs of force occasionally
  • Frequent use of hands for repetitive tasks and equipment operation
  • Variable schedules including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
  • Exposure to heat (production areas), noise, wet or slippery surfaces, and cleaning chemicals
