Job Summary
Shift Supervisor responsible for supervising security operations in a men's homeless shelter, training staff, monitoring safety, and managing incidents.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in social services, criminology or related field or equivalent experience
- Valid N.Y.S Security Guard License
- Fire Guard License
- Certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI)
- Must own a vehicle and have knowledge of public transportation system
- Must have shelter knowledge and be familiar with CARES and DHS shelter protocols
- Must possess a general knowledge of security systems
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to solve problems
- Ability to make decisions based on factual information
- Knowledge of video surveillance
- Knowledge of fire detection / alarm notification system
Additional Requirements
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations required
- Must be flexible on days and hours of availability
