Job Summary
Shift Supervisor at Upham Inns offering flexible shifts with up to £13/hour plus share of Tron; role focuses on leading FOH team, briefing and training on food/drink promotions, coaching staff to upsell, delivering high customer service, coordinating with kitchen/door teams, and driving promotional activities. Requirements include restaurant experience, 18+ years, strong communication, decision-making, organization, and knowledge of food, wine, and beer; UK right to work; willingness to work weekends/holidays; development pathway to General Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Have a proven track record of restaurant experience
- Be at Least 18 year of age due to licensing laws
- You’ll be a great communicator
- You’ll have great decision-making skills
- You should be confident
- You’ll need to be organised
- General knowledge of food, wine and beer
- Have the Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Shift Supervisor Responsibilities: Take responsibility for team work, leading and motivating team members, Hold pre session briefings as and when appropriate and make sure the team are fully briefed and trained on any new amended food and drink products, and any promotional activity, Assist in implementing and driving promotional activities, Support and coach team members to upsell, Deal with any issues that arise during each shift promptly and professionally, seeking advice from the general manager where necessary, Lead by example to ensure that the highest possible levels of customer service are delivered by team members at all times
- Liaise with other departments Including kitchen and door teams in the business to ensure every customer experiences a consistent level of service
- Assist the General and Assistant Managers as and when necessary to make the business run effectively and efficiently.
- Participating in ongoing training and development
- Must have an eagerness to take advantage of new opportunities
- Learning different skills
- As a Front of House Team Leader, you will need to be able to demonstrate passion and energy to develop team members resulting in focussed customer service and exceptional standards.
