Job Summary
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers while directing subordinates on duty performance and cross-training them for versatility. Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders, deter criminal activity, and ensure contract compliance through regular performance inspections. Recommend productivity improvements, physical security surveys, and personnel actions to management. Maintain overtime levels and compile incident reports. Shifts include evenings and overnight rotations at a university campus. Pay is $23.80 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and valid driver's license
- Associate's degree of higher in any discipline
- Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard
- Service in auxiliary police or police cadets
- Minimum of one (1) year verifiable and successful security experiences
- Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable work experience demonstrating the following:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to maintain poise and self-control during emergency situations
- Capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, and of composing reports
- Effective oral and written communication skills; write informatively, clearly, and accurately
- Planning and organizing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
