Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of the security function on-shift, including staffing, scheduling, and on-site training. Ensure contract-required training and screening elements are met while maintaining overtime to a minimal or preset requirement. Regularly inspect security personnel and their job performance to ensure quality of service and contract compliance. Respond to client requests, make emergency notifications pursuant to site Post Orders, and provide direction and instruction to subordinates. Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions, disciplinary decisions, and productivity improvements. Conduct physical security surveys and prepare post orders. Lead a team of security professionals in a safe and secure environment for clients.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current driver's license If driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
- Minimum of one (1) year verifiable and successful supervisory experience in a security-related Industry
- Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Effective oral and written interpersonal communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Active listening skills
- Able to assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Able to compile, sort, and interpret data
- Skilled in research, investigation, and in compiling information
- Able to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
- Attention to detail
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Previous supervisory experience required
Desired Qualifications
- College coursework in Education, Business, Criminal Justice, Human Resources, Security Management or related field
- Prior experience in the fire service, law enforcement, and/or military
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certification
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certified
