Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of on-shift security functions including staffing, scheduling, and on-site training while ensuring contract compliance through regular performance inspections. Maintain minimal overtime levels and respond to client requests, making emergency notifications as required per site Post Orders. Provide direction to subordinates regarding duty performance and handle disciplinary or commendation decisions for personnel under supervision. Compile incident reports, review payroll, and prepare security surveys and post orders. Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions, productivity improvements, and cost reductions to management. This full-time role in Kansas City, MO, requires a 21+ year old with at least one year of supervisory experience in security. The position includes a Thursday–Monday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM at $20.25 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current driver's license If driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
- Minimum of one (1) year verifiable and successful supervisory experience in a security-related Industry
- Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Effective oral and written interpersonal communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately
- Problem solving skills
- Active listening skills
- Able to assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Able to compile, sort, and interpret data
- Skilled in research, investigation, and in compiling information
- Able to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
- Attention to detail
- Must be 21 years of age or older
Desired Qualifications
- College coursework in Education, Business, Criminal Justice, Human Resources, Security Management or related field
- Prior experience in the fire service, law enforcement, and/or military
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certification
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certified
