Job Summary
Provide habilitation services to clients as prescribed in their service plans, including activities of daily living, domestic living, recreation, and socialization. Administer medication to clients as assigned and ensure nutritional needs are met according to prescribed diets. Report immediately any observed deficiencies, abuse, or facility safety issues to management. This Direct Support Professional role supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a safe environment at a program in the Bronx. The position offers flexible scheduling, union benefits, and a 10-percent internal promotion rate.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- Location: Bronx
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree
- One year's experience providing direct services to developmentally disabled persons
- AMAP certification
- SCIP-R certification
- CPR & First Aid certification
