Job Summary
Lead shifts by ensuring team members provide exceptional customer service, thoroughly complete job duties, and follow all brand standards and food safety requirements. Operate the point-of-sale system to process payments, manage cash handling policies, and assist in training newly hired team members. Complete opening, daily, and closing procedures while performing kitchen tasks such as prepping, cooking, and stocking products. Actively cross-sell items, resolve customer complaints, and report observations to plaza leadership. Available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Applegreen USA operates over 80 travel plazas across the Northeast and Midwest offering a wide range of food options.
Required Qualifications
- Cash handling and customer service experience
- Able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
- Frequently bend, twist, lift and carry at least 40 pounds
- The ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents
- The ability to converse comfortably with customers
- Available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
