Job Summary
Lead shift operations by ensuring team members provide exceptional customer service, thoroughly complete job duties, and follow all brand standards and food safety requirements. Manage team activities, assist in training new hires, and monitor compliance with cash handling policies while operating the POS system to process payments. Execute kitchen tasks including prepping, cooking, packaging, and cleaning, plus stock, clean, and sanitize workstations. Engage positively with travelers to resolve complaints and cross-sell products, while reporting observations to plaza leadership. Requires standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, and flexible scheduling including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Available to work at Applegreen travel plazas across the Northeast and Midwest.
Required Qualifications
- Cash handling and customer service experience
- Able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
- Frequently bend, twist, lift and carry at least 40 pounds
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents
- Ability to converse comfortably with customers
- Available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
