Shift Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee Direct Support Professionals on your floor during the 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. rotating shift, including weekends and holidays, to ensure consistent supervision and quality care aligned with Active Treatment Plans. Assign daily responsibilities, manage resident schedules, coordinate appointments, and monitor documentation accuracy for incident reports and behavior data. Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living while coaching staff on safe, effective, and compassionate care. Identify changes in residents' needs, ensure compliance with ICF/DD regulations, and support resident outings and transportation. Maintain awareness of supplies and equipment, promote positive communication with families, and participate in required trainings and emergency drills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree
- One year of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a related human services field
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to successfully complete a Level II background screening
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
