Job Summary
Monitor production schedules, oversee execution of the manufacturing plan, and adjust priorities to meet safety, quality, throughput, and cost objectives. Lead accident investigations, drive safe behaviors, and ensure compliance with EHS policies while managing personnel across all shifts. Coordinate with maintenance, technical, and supply chain teams to resolve downtime and quality issues, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to ISO standards. Respond to trouble calls 24 hours a day, work evenings and holidays, and travel for training with a valid passport and STAR ID.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BS or Technical Degree from an Accredited College
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a supervisor
- Excellent interpersonal relations
- Exceptional leadership characteristics
- Excellent verbal and listening skills
- Ability to prepare and make group presentations
- Work with operators and helpers to reach consensus decisions
- A good understanding of manufacturing systems and computer (MS Office, Windows, etc.) systems
- Ability to use human relation skills to empower, train, understand, and develop others to attain the objectives
- Self-motivated
- Excellent reading, writing, listening, and verbal skills
- Flexibility and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize work
- Ability to represent Novelis with external parties
- Ability to work evenings, weekdays, and holidays
- Ability to respond to trouble calls 24-hours a day
- Must be able to obtain a passport
- No travel restrictions
- Driver's license with a STAR ID
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship
