Job Summary
Shift Supervisor leads and coaches a team of 12–15 operators on rotating 12-hour shifts at the Ontario Mill to meet daily production and quality targets. Responsible for overseeing shift activities, enforcing safety protocols, troubleshooting issues, planning and executing mill maintenance shutdowns, ensuring operator-maintenance practices, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement through data analysis and employee development. Strong leadership, communication, and ability to collaborate with management and human resources to resolve issues and support process improvement are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical materials; ability to effectively present information to top management and all levels of the employee population
- Strong troubleshooting background
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong written and oral communication
- Knowledgeable in Excel and various Microsoft Programs
