Job Summary
Supervise inmate labor and/or team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts, preparing and instructing staff on variety of food items per departmental standards. Follow assigned facility housekeeping and safety practices during all meal preparation, oversight, and serving in the correctional facility. Maintain accurate records of inmate labor hours and ensure compliance with food handling regulations. This role requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Prior institutional food service or restaurant, cafeteria experience
- ServSafe® Food Handler certification
