Job Summary
As a Shift Supervisor at Goodwill, you will oversee store operations during your assigned shift, handle opening and closing duties, delegate tasks to associates, and provide excellent customer service while promoting merchandise, handling complaints, and issuing refunds. You will complete daily documentation and financial reports, operate the POS cash register, and guide inventory tasks including stock rotation and display work. You’ll record inventory received, maintain a clean store, and support the mission by contributing to a positive customer experience and efficient store operations. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of retail experience in cashiering, customer service, display, shipping/receiving, and inventory duties, leadership ability, basic math for cash handling, and the physical ability to stand for long periods and lift over 40 pounds. Availability must accommodate day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or the equivalent
- One year experience in retail sales performing cashiering, customer service, display, shipping/receiving, and inventory duties
- Ability to lead and direct Team Members
- Basic math skills for cash handling and ability to operate register
- Being prepared for considerable standing, reaching, lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift over 40 pounds.
- Availability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts
