Job Summary
Supervise Safety Monitors on duty at the Hope House location in Bronx, NY, ensuring all safety, security, and civility duties are performed per agency protocol. Conduct fire drills, document results, and respond to incidents by following DHS and agency protocols while reporting Child Abuse cases to the state Central Registry. Direct facility phone calls, manage van schedules, and oversee department staff utilization of the DHS CARES System for intake, incidents, and bed management. Train monitors on security measures, audit desk logs and incident reports, and complete end-of-shift reports emailed to operations leadership. Maintain CCTV monitoring, ensure client adherence to shelter rules, and provide updates to HERO regarding unit vacancies.
Required Qualifications
- Security license
- F80
- current CPR certification
- NYS Driver's license
- Two (2) years of Supervisory experience in commercial/residential security or law enforcement, or Five (5) years' experience as a Private/Personal Security Officer
- good communication skills
- experience working with women and children
- superior professionalism at all times, even when under pressure or experiencing challenges with the clients
- successfully complete background investigation
