Shift Supervisor

Job Summary
Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping/receiving while scheduling and directing activities for approximately 10 full-time employees. Promote a safe work environment by actively participating in all plant safety programs, ensuring compliance with safety, health, environmental, legal, and company standards. Monitor overall plant performance through reports and metrics, coordinate activities to meet manufacturing objectives, and provide training and guidance to subordinates. Maintain and adjust plant facilities and equipment as necessary, working concurrently with shift staff on production lines and general maintenance tasks. You will be assigned to a designated shift following a DuPont schedule of alternating 12-hour shifts, with overtime required based on plant needs.

- Strong sense of responsibility; understanding of business implications of decisions.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively in generating solutions.
- Highly organized and capable of effective, efficient multi-tasking.
- Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills and must be able to effectively present information to others.
- Flexibility to work effectively in a changing environment. Ability to adapt to changes in work environment, work assignments, and/or changes in priorities.
- Exercises good judgment and discretion in determining best method and procedure to be followed.
- Ability to rapidly process and comprehend large amounts of detailed information and to consider the implications and consequences of new facts and make decisions.
- Proven leadership skills; ability to build consensus, rally support around common goals and to motivate groups and individuals.
- 3 years leadership experience
- Great time/task management skill
- Excellent verbal/written communication skill
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
