Job Summary

Lead and coordinate all production activities for approximately 50 hourly employees across seven lines in a 24/7 paper bag manufacturing facility. Manage staffing, monitor production results, and resolve operational challenges to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective output meeting customer specifications. Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics teams to drive operational performance while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and employee engagement. Conduct shift start-up meetings, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and train employees on operating procedures and safety requirements. Perform daily production, planning, and operations meetings to support plant objectives and achieve production goals.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience in a production environment
  • Experience supervising large teams of 20 or more employees
  • Experience managing multiple production lines in a high-volume manufacturing operation
  • Experience in paper converting, packaging, printing, corrugated, flexible packaging, or related manufacturing industries
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, production reporting systems, and ERP/manufacturing software
  • Understanding of quality systems, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift) on concrete floors in a production environment
  • Regularly required to lift and carry materials and packaging supplies weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to set up printing equipment, load materials, and perform maintenance tasks
  • Must have fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to operate printing machinery, adjust settings, and manage small components with precision
  • Ability to read print specifications and computer screens
  • Must be able to hear equipment alerts and verbal instructions in a moderately noisy environment
  • Must be able to safely navigate production areas and storage zones with good balance and coordination
  • Must be able to maintain regular and reliable attendance and work all scheduled 12-hour shifts
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Must adhere to all Company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and standard operating procedures
  • Consistent and proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory
  • Must be able to understand and respond to workplace safety instructions, hazard communications, emergency notifications, and operating procedures necessary to safely perform the essential functions of the position

Desired Qualifications
