Job Summary
Shift Supervisor for BRC overseeing Community Technicians and assisting the Assistant Director of Operations with task oversight, security and safety of the building, and crisis response. Responsibilities include client-centered engagement, emergency response, reporting/notable events, records and statistical reporting, unit coverage, conflict management and client care/crisis intervention, attending team meetings and case conferences, providing emergency first aid/CPR when needed. Requires H.S. diploma/GED; preferred B.A. with supervisory experience; experience with homelessness and mental illness/substance use preferred; strong writing and computer literacy; certifications in Fire Safety and CPR a plus; bilingual abilities are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. diploma/GED required
- B.A. preferred
- One year supervisory experience preferred
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness and with individuals living with mental illness and substance abuse preferred
- Experience working in residential settings also preferred
- Excellent writing skills and computer literacy required
- NYC Fire Safety Certification, CPR Certification a plus or a willingness to acquire these certifications/licenses
- Bilingual abilities a plus
