Job Summary
Shift Supervisor to lead production teams on the 2nd shift in a highly automated furniture-manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include supervising production employees, assigning work schedules, coordinating with Planning/Quality/Maintenance/Logistics, monitoring production lines for efficiency, ensuring compliance with processes and quality standards, promoting safety, reporting incidents, tracking material usage and downtime, completing production reports and shift documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Requires leadership experience, strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; ability to read schedules and technical documents; proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems. Training occurs on the 1st shift with a transition to the 2nd shift after training; weekend availability and flexibility with shifts are required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Shift Supervisor or leading teams
- Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety standards
- Skills & competencies: leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational abilities, ability to read and interpret production schedules and technical documents
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions
- Must be flexible to work weekends, and varying shifts
