Job Summary
Shift Supervisor overseeing a team of Community Technicians, assisting the Operations Coordinator with departmental tasks and goals, including record keeping, statistical reports, unit coverage, and client care/crisis intervention. Provides emergency first aid/CPR as needed. Full-time position with evening to overnight shifts (3pm-11:30pm and 11pm-7:30am) at BRC facilities serving New Yorkers experiencing homelessness; responsibilities include supervision, reporting, and coordination to support housing and services. Qualifications include HS diploma/GED, BA preferred, supervisory experience, experience with homeless/mentally ill/substance abuse populations, residential setting experience, strong writing and computer skills, and First Aid/Fire Safety and CPR readiness; bilingual skills in Spanish or Polish are a plus. Required Qualifications
- H.S. diploma/GED required
- B.A. preferred
- At least one-year supervisory experience preferred
- Experience working with homeless, mentally ill, and substance abuse populations preferred
- Experience working in residential settings preferred
- Very good writing skills and computer literacy required
- First Aid and Fire Safety certification, or ability to pass tests to acquire these credentials, required
- Bilingual Spanish or Polish a plus
- CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR
