Job Summary
Shift Supervisor on the 7-day schedule (Thursday–Monday, 11:00 am–7:30 pm) leading a kitchen team within BRC’s Food Service Program. Oversees shift coordination, menu development, food preparation, serving and distribution, and cleans up. Provides instruction to participants in training to obtain the Food Protection Certificate, supporting pathways to NYC Food Handlers/Safe Serve certifications. Works under the supervision of the Food Service Director in Manhattan, contributing to services for New Yorkers experiencing homelessness. Required Qualifications
- BA preferred
- High School diploma or GED required
- Culinary Arts degree a plus
- Qualifying certificate in Food Protection from the NYC Dept of Health required
- Good health; ability to read, write, and speak English
- TB Clearance required
