Job Summary
Shift Supervisor oversees Community Technicians and Senior Community Technician, assists Operations Coordinator with tasks and goals including record keeping, statistical reports, unit coverage, and client care/crisis intervention; provides emergency first aid/CPR when needed; related duties as assigned. The role is a full-time position (37.5 hours/week) with Friday-Tuesday 4pm-12:30am; location is Manhattan, NY. The organization operates a transitional residence for homeless individuals with severe mental illness, with benefits including health insurance, paid time off, 403(b), tuition assistance, and FSAs; vaccination is preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. diploma/GED required
- B.A. preferred
- One year supervisory experience preferred
- Experience working with homeless, mentally ill, and substance abuse populations preferred
- Experience working in residential settings also preferred
- Very good writing skills and computer literacy required
- First Aid and Fire Safety certification, or ability to pass tests to acquire these credentials, required
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
- CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR
