Job Summary
Ensure completion of maintenance assignments by directing shift personnel, overseeing maintenance logs, and controlling tools and equipment. Troubleshoot problems and communicate regularly with managers while maintaining familiarity with plumbing, electric, and fire protection systems. Read blueprints and schematic diagrams, operate hand and power tools, and work in confined spaces or on ladders over six feet. Requires a First Grade Stationary Engineer License, universal refrigeration certification, and five years of HVAC and mechanical systems experience. Schedule is 8am-4pm with flexibility for weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Familiarity with plumbing, electric, and fire protection systems
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic systems boilers, chillers, and HVAC control systems
- Must possess a current City of Philadelphia First Grade Stationary Engineer License
- An EPA and USEPA approved universal refrigeration certification
- Must conform to all city, state and federal licensing and certification requirements
- Knowledge of CMMS systems
- Must be able to read and work with blueprints and schematic diagrams
- Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays as needed to accommodate work required
- Requires work in confined spaces and on ladders or lift equipment over six feet from ground
- Must be able to lift over 50 lbs
- Must be able to work in confirmed space
