Job Summary
Operate high pressure boilers, auxiliary equipment, water filtration systems, compressed air systems, and standby diesel generators in compliance with the Pressure Vessels Act and Operating Engineers Regulations. Guide maintenance personnel on powerhouse equipment while maintaining all required documentation. Requires an Ontario Second Class Operating Engineer Certificate, five to eight years of industrial experience, and detailed knowledge of relevant safety regulations. Schedule involves a 24-hour rotating day and night shift.
Required Qualifications
- Ontario Second Class Operating Engineer Certificate
- Five to eight years of previous job experience in an industrial setting
- Detailed knowledge of the Pressure Vessels Act and Operating Engineer Regulations
- Good problem solving, communication and critical thinking skills
- The ability to work in accordance with established procedures and work practices
- Site hours of operation require this position to work a 24-hour operation work schedule of 12 hour rotating day and night shifts
- Successful candidates employed by Cameco at a non-Safety Sensitive Site will be required to take and pass a Substance Test, which includes marijuana, as a condition of their reassignment to a safety sensitive site or safety sensitive position

- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems
