Job Summary
Mill Technician responsible for operating two highly automated milling units to produce flour and wheat co-products, including maintaining the blending processes, quality checks, laboratory testing, and adherence to safety/food safety policies. Role requires interpreting production data, troubleshooting equipment, performing basic mechanical tasks, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives (5S, 5Whys). The position demands reliability, teamwork, and flexibility to work rotating shifts (days/evenings/nights), as well as overtime. Benefits and competitive compensation are provided; starting base range is $27.00–$29.00 per hour with potential bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an industrial environment (milling, agricultural, food production, or equivalent)
- Advanced skill with computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Control Systems or other Production Operation technology)
- Demonstrated mechanical understanding and intermediate troubleshooting ability
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to read, interpret instructions and communicate effectively in English
- Must be willing for continued education and training in Milling Practices and Programs
