Job Summary
Oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, leading the front-line team through supervision, coaching, and task delegation. Ensure exceptional guest experiences by resolving complaints promptly and maintaining high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and service speed. Manage financial responsibilities including accurate cash handling, register operations, and labor cost adjustments while enforcing food safety and sanitation protocols. Communicate effectively with staff and management to address operational challenges and report significant issues. Work in a fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service
- Supervisory or leadership role experience
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to make decisions quickly and effectively
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4-8+ hours) with periodic breaks
- Capability to walk up and down stairs and use a step ladder as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in varying temperature zones, including hot kitchen areas and cold storage areas
- Awareness of temperature fluctuations and safe practices
- Adaptability to different environments (indoor and outdoor settings)
- Awareness of potential hazards such as hot surfaces, sharp objects, and wet floors
- Ability to use appropriate lifting equipment and/or seek assistance from a second person when handling heavier loads
