Job Summary
Lead shop floor operations to deliver production plans on time, to quality standards and within labour targets. Drive operational performance through KPI management, including OEE, waste, labour efficiency, cost and non-conformance. Monitor production performance, investigate operational and quality issues, and ensure corrective actions are completed. Ensure materials, resources and processes are in place to support efficient production. Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimise performance and challenge existing standards. Lead regular team briefings to communicate performance, priorities and business updates. Collaborate with QA and cross-functional teams to maintain food safety, product quality, traceability and compliance. Coach, motivate and develop teams, supporting Group Leaders and driving accountability, engagement and performance. Promote a strong health, safety and food safety culture, ensuring compliance and addressing unsafe practices promptly. Manage skills development, communication and team recognition to build a high-performing culture. Support new product development (NPD) trials, operational reporting and factory improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a similar operational leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience leading and managing large operational teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of production performance, labour planning, waste reduction and continuous improvement principles
- Relevant qualification in food manufacturing, production management or a related discipline
- Level 3 or Level 4 Food Safety and Hygiene qualification
- HACCP Level 3 or Level 4 qualification
- IOSH accreditation
