Job Summary
Shift Manager Sportsbook oversees the Sportsbook department during their assigned shift, supervising Sportsbook Ticket Writers, participating in staff training, managing cash drawers, handling customer disputes, and ensuring wagering activities comply with state and federal regulations. The role requires deep knowledge of wagers, odds, and bet types, effective communication of wagering rules to patrons, monitoring for unusual betting patterns, and upholding Responsible Gaming practices. The position demands flexible shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) in a casino environment, with physical requirements including standing and moving around the property and lifting up to 20 pounds. Strong supervisory, cash-handling, and regulatory-compliance skills, plus excellent problem-solving and interpersonal abilities, are essential for success.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year prior cashiering/money handling experience preferred
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Must be computer competent with the aptitude to learn new systems
- Ability to work well under pressure
