Job Summary
Shift Manager oversees daily restaurant operations during their shift, supervises and develops staff, monitors food quality and safety, delivers prompt and friendly customer service, manages scheduling and labor costs, and ensures compliance with company policies. Key duties include leading team members, training and coaching staff, monitoring operations and safety standards, handling cash and reporting, optimizing scheduling, and maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction in a fast-paced hospitality environment using POS and restaurant-management software. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or restaurant management is a plus
