Job Summary
Shift Manager Maintenance responsible for directing maintenance hourly union employees, ensuring safety, environmental and quality compliance, and coordinating equipment maintenance within the department to meet production needs. Responsibilities include supervising and directing the work of hourly union employees, planning and reviewing performance, implementing safety goals, coordinating planned outages and downturns, analyzing equipment needs, ensuring reliability, developing preventive/predictive maintenance (PPM) programs, managing troubleshooting, repairs, root cause analysis, and equipment improvements. Requires strong analytical problem-solving skills and experience in heavy manufacturing with mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting, proficiency in Word and Excel, and excellent communication and organizational abilities. Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience in heavy manufacturing to include mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
