Job Summary
As a Shift Manager at Jamba, you will lead your team, maintain high standards for quality and cleanliness, motivate team members, and troubleshoot various challenges during your shift. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 3–6 months of supervisory experience. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, and you must be able to work in cold environments and handle basic food service tasks. A food handler certification is also required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- 3–6 months of first-line supervisory experience preferred
- Flexible availability (weeknights, weekends, and holidays)
- TB clearance required
- 0–1 year of food service or retail experience
- Ability to stand, bend, scoop, and stay active throughout your shift
- Comfortable working in cold environments (walk-in fridge/freezer)
- Ability to taste-test products for quality
- Food handler certification (current or obtained within 30 days)
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and POS technology
Desired Qualifications
- Basic math and computer skills (Microsoft, POS systems)
- Cash handling and customer service experience a plus
- General knowledge of food service or nutrition terms is a bonus
