Job Summary
Manager I role at HMSHost to assist branch management in tactically executing QSR or similar restaurant operations. Responsible for ensuring the restaurant is clean, prepared for business, staffed, and operates to high operational standards. Tasks include opening, daily and closing procedures, supervising associates, participating in hiring decisions, scheduling coverage, enforcing mandated rest and meal breaks, maintaining clean and appealing display areas, ensuring equipment functionality, cash handling per policies, and enforcing health, safety, and HACCP standards. Also places orders for units, processes invoices, maintains updated contact information for associates, and supports wellness and safety initiatives. Must work varied and rotating schedules on-site at the restaurant and demonstrate knowledge of sanitary standards and policies, with a focus on customer service and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience
- Minimum of 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, and converse comfortably with customers
