Shift Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Shift Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of production equipment and facility systems at the Tangier site. Diagnose and resolve equipment failures across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, automation, and PLC domains; lead or support root-cause analysis for breakdowns and provide rapid technical intervention to restore production. Execute maintenance work orders, document interventions in CMMS, conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring, and support installation, commissioning, testing, and start-up of new machinery and facilities. Maintain 5S and TPM/Kaizen practices; ensure compliance with LOTO, permit-to-work, and machine-safety standards. Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, energy usage, and maintenance costs. Support spare parts management and collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve reliability and operational performance. Requires 2+ years industrial maintenance experience, BAC+2 or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical/Electromechanical/Industrial Maintenance/Automation, ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics, and proficiency in English and/or French; comfortable with rotating shifts and physical aspects of on-floor maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance within automotive, manufacturing, or high-volume production environments
- Technical diploma (BAC+2), Technician degree, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, or related field
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment independently
- Knowledge of automation systems, industrial sensors, motors, drives and PLC-controlled equipment
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics and maintenance manuals
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and maintenance safe work practices
- Good communication skills in English and/or French
- Ability to work effectively in rotating shifts and respond to emergency breakdown situations
- Good physical capacity (lifting, climbing, and crouching) to perform manual work on the floor when required
- Strong commitment to integrity, confidentiality and ethical conduct in all maintenance and operational activities
