Job Summary
As a Shift Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing production, R&D, and facility equipment. You will troubleshoot and analyze electrical circuits and maintain mechanical systems such as HVAC and utilities infrastructure. The role requires a certified Electrician or Electronics Technologist with at least 5 years of maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift and carry weights exceeding 50 lbs occasionally. You are expected to participate in preventive maintenance programs, manage contractors, and provide after-hours support. Experience with various industrial systems and strong communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Certified electrical/electronics trades ticket (e.g., Journeyperson Electrician, Electronics Technician certification, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong background in electrical and electronic systems
Desired Qualifications
- Technical diploma in a related mechanical or trades field is an asset
- Experience with maintenance-related data entry, CMMS systems, and MS Office
