Job Summary
Shift Leader at a Dairy Queen franchisee: lead and supervise crew during scheduled shifts, train and coach staff to build a productive team, ensure proper organization and staffing of the restaurant, deliver fan-first service, manage service flow to reduce bottlenecks, maintain a positive, safe, clean, and engaging environment for fans and team members, and assist the General Manager and Assistant Managers with duties as assigned. Requires minimum 6+ months in a high-volume quick service restaurant, High School diploma or equivalent, ServSafe certification, strong food safety knowledge, and the ability to stand for the shift and lift up to 50 pounds. Must foster a positive attitude, teamwork, and adherence to Dairy Queen service standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be ServSafe certifiable
- Minimum 6+ months of high volume quick service restaurant experience
- Capable of supervising specific areas of the business in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge and application of safe food handling practices
- Exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene, and promptness
- Comfortable standing for entire shift and able to lift 50 pounds
