Job Summary
The Shift Leader at United Dairy Farmers is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by ensuring an efficient and safe operation during their shift. This includes greeting guests, preparing DipSide items, managing point of sale transactions, stocking merchandise, and maintaining store security. Shift Leaders must follow company policies and regulations and ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the store. Additionally, they should possess strong communication skills in English to interact effectively with customers, and be able to perform several physical tasks including lifting and moving merchandise.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English effectively
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies located in the dip cabinets
- Ability to handle various forms of payments accurately
- Ability to recognize numbers and perform arithmetic
- Ability to move merchandise and place properly for display
- Ability to clean counters and surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to low temperatures for short periods
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds
- Ability to place heavier items into dip cabinets
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally qualified under applicable state laws to conduct all sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco sales
