Job Summary
As a Shift Leader at United Dairy Farmers, you will provide outstanding service by ensuring an excellent guest experience while supervising associates. Responsibilities include managing the Point of Sale system, stocking merchandise, maintaining store security, ensuring cleanliness, and preparing menu items. Candidates must effectively communicate in English, operate store equipment, handle transactions accurately, and manage inventory. Physical requirements include lifting weights and tolerating various temperatures. Must comply with state regulations concerning sales transactions.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English effectively.
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment.
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment.
- Ability to prepare DipSide items.
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons, and food stamps.
- Ability to recognize numbers, count, and do arithmetic.
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves/displays/freezers/milk box.
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as –30 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as +33 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet.
- Ability to place a package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet.
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally qualified under applicable state laws to conduct all sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco sales.
