Job Summary
As a Shift Leader at United Dairy Farmers, you will provide exceptional service to every Guest by ensuring the store is prepared and ready at all times, while following company policies for efficient operations. Responsibilities include overseeing Guest services, managing the Point of Sale system, stocking merchandise, maintaining security, ensuring cleanliness and safety, and reporting. Key qualifications include strong communication skills, the ability to operate store equipment, financial transaction handling, and capability to lift and handle merchandise.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English effectively with customers
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment and check identification documents
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons, and food stamps
- Ability to recognize numbers, count, and do arithmetic to complete records
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to displays
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as –30 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 2 minutes
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as +33 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 10 minutes
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet
- Ability to place an 8” x 10” x 10” package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet, 3 feet above the floor

- Must be legally qualified under applicable state laws to conduct all sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco sales.
