Job Summary
The Shift Leader at United Dairy Farmers is responsible for providing outstanding service to guests, ensuring efficient store operations during their shift, and adhering to company policies and state regulations. Key responsibilities include managing guest services, operating the Point of Sale system, stocking merchandise, maintaining security, and ensuring store cleanliness and maintenance. Candidates must possess the ability to communicate effectively, operate equipment, manage cash transactions, and handle physical demands such as lifting and temperature exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear, and understand spoken English effectively
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons, and food stamps
- Ability to recognize numbers, count, and do arithmetic accurately
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to displays/freezers
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as –30 degrees Fahrenheit and +33 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to 5 feet
- Ability to place a package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet
