Job Summary
As a Shift Leader at United Dairy Farmers, you will provide outstanding customer service by following the Hi Five Guest Experience principles. Your responsibilities include ensuring efficient store operations during your shifts, managing cash transactions, stocking merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness, and complying with company policies and legal requirements related to alcohol and tobacco sales. Essential skills include effective communication, the ability to operate store equipment, prepare food items, handle transactions accurately, and maintain security awareness to deter theft.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English effectively
- Ability to see to operate store equipment, including POS terminal and gas console
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies located in the dip cabinets
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps
- Ability to recognize numbers, count and do arithmetic for records
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to display
- Ability to clean counters and surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet
- Ability to place an 8” x 10” x 10” package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet

- Must be legally qualified under applicable state laws to conduct all sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco sales
