Job Summary
The Shift Leader at United Dairy Farmers is responsible for providing outstanding service to guests by following the Hi Five Guest Experience. Key responsibilities include managing guest services, preparing food items, operating the point of sale system, stocking merchandise, maintaining security, and cleaning tasks. Essential qualifications include effective communication skills in English, ability to operate store equipment, and proficiency in handling various transactions. The role requires physical abilities to handle merchandise, maintain cleanliness, and work in varying temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English effectively with customers.
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment, including POS terminal and gas console.
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment.
- Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies located in the dip cabinets.
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps.
- Ability to recognize numbers, count and do arithmetic for record completion.
- Ability to move merchandise from storage to displays/freezers.
- Ability to clean counters and surfaces.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to varying temperatures.
- Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet.
- Ability to place a package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet.
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally qualified under applicable state laws to conduct all sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco sales.
