Job Summary
The Shift Leader at United Dairy Farmers is responsible for delivering outstanding guest service, managing guest interactions, and overseeing store operations during their shift. Key responsibilities include preparing ice cream and shake products, efficiently operating the Point of Sale system, stocking merchandise, maintaining store security, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of the store, and accurately completing time records. The role requires effective communication skills, the ability to operate store equipment, manage cash transactions, and perform physical tasks including lifting and exposure to varying temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English effectively
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies
- Ability to handle various forms of payment and make change accurately
- Ability to recognize numbers and do arithmetic
- Ability to move merchandise for display
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures
- Ability to lift and place merchandise up to 21 pounds
