Job Summary
Shift Leader leads a shift by managing and developing associates to execute outstanding product quality and customer service, build sales and control costs for each shift; duties include leading team members, cash handling, health and safety compliance, restocking, ensuring standards, addressing customer issues, and training staff to meet food safety certification requirements where applicable; must be at least 18 years old, with strong communication, problem-solving, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods; role requires supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting and adherence to health/safety guidelines (ServSafe/Prometric or Illinois equivalents).
Required Qualifications
- 18 years old or older
- minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment preferred
- ability to stand/walk for 8-9 hours
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Illinois employees must become food safety certified within 30 days of employment (if applicable)
- certification through Illinois Department of Public Health in IL or through ServSafe/Prometric in other states
