Job Summary
Lead a shift by assigning tasks, mentoring associates, and ensuring high-quality product and customer service while managing cash handling and safety procedures. Responsibilities include ensuring health and safety standards are met, restocking the line, addressing customer complaints, maintaining cleanliness, and supervising team members. Key skills: customer service, problem-solving, effective communication, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, knowledge of food safety certifications (Illinois: IL Dept. of Public Health; others: ServSafe/Prometric/other certs), and physical ability to stand 8-9 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment preferred
- You’re at least 18 years old
- You’re able to stand/walk for 8-9 hours or as needed
- You’re able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- As a requirement of the position, all Shift Leaders and Managers must be trained and pass a Food Safety Certification course; Illinois certification is through the Illinois Department of Public Health, while in all other states certification is through the ServSafe/National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or the National Environmental Health Association
