Job Summary
Shift Leader at Gelati Celesti Ice Cream is a year-round full-time leadership role responsible for store operations in the absence of management, including leading and motivating the team, maintaining inventory and food safety, delivering excellent customer service, and upholding culture and procedures. Requires 1 year of management/leadership experience in retail (preferred), year-round opening/closing availability, and reliable transportation. Daily duties include team leadership, coaching, inventory control, ensuring food safety standards, and adapting to new menu items and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of management or leadership experience in a retail environment preferred
- Year-round availability required - this is not a seasonal position
- Must have opening AND closing availability, including daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, with constant moving, bending, lifting, reaching, and turning during all shifts
- Ability to reach and grasp with hands; talk and hear from far away and in close proximity; taste and smell
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds or more
